Continuing our ongoing discussion from the previous article, we will now introduce additional techniques for custom patterns: Brushed Silver Hot Stamping, Rainbow Reflective Printing, and Fluorescent PU Heat Transfer.
Brushed Silver Hot Stamping
This technique uses a silver PU heat transfer film with a metallic brushed texture. The print not only possesses a metallic lustre but also appears more textured.
Advantages:
The metallic brushed texture is evident on the print, giving it both a metallic sheen and enhanced tactile quality.
Disadvantages:
This process is only available in silver.
Suitability:
Ideal for logo printing.
Rainbow Reflective Printing
This process utilises the principle of light reflection. Under normal conditions, the print appears grey.
However, in dim environments, it reflects a spectrum of colours, displaying different chromatic effects from various angles.
Advantages:
Under normal conditions, the print appears grey, but it reflects a spectrum of colours when illuminated. The print can display different chromatic effects from various angles.
Disadvantages:
Most suitable for dark-coloured base garments.
Suitability:
The reflective coating is transparent and can be applied to any colour; however, grey patterns yield the best and strongest reflective effect.
Fluorescent PU Heat Transfer
A print made from high-elasticity PU material. Compared to traditional printing, it offers more vibrant colours and a softer feel.
Advantages:
Provides a comfortable feel, features cleaner print edges due to laser cutting, and boasts high colour saturation.
Disadvantages:
Currently, this process supports white, silver, red, orange, blue, black, green, transparent, rose red, burgundy, bright yellow, and ochre.
Suitability:
Suitable for simple patterns and logo printing.
